Autodesk PowerShape
CAD for manufacture. PowerShape is built for toolmakers who receive customer data in whatever state it arrives and still have to get a mould or die cut.
What PowerShape is for
PowerShape combines surface, solid and mesh modelling in one environment, so you can work with imported customer geometry without converting it into something else first. It is the tool for the messy middle step between a customer’s CAD file and a machinable model.
Where it earns its cost
- Repairing imported data — fix gaps, slivers and bad surfaces in files that arrive from a customer’s different CAD system.
- Mould and die design — split lines, core and cavity separation, runner and cooling layout.
- Electrode design — generate and manage electrodes for EDM work, with holders and documentation.
- Model preparation for CAM — add draft, fill holes, offset and thicken so PowerMill has something clean to work from.
- Hybrid modelling — solids, surfaces and meshes together, which is what real toolroom data actually looks like.
PowerShape and PowerMill are usually bought together: PowerShape prepares the model, PowerMill cuts it. We can quote either separately or as a pair.
Autodesk PowerShape price, licensing and quotation
PowerShape is usually quoted alongside PowerMill, and is licensed on the same subscription terms. Ask us for both if you are setting up a toolroom from scratch.
- Licence types
- Depending on the product we can quote subscription (term) or perpetual licences, single-seat or network/floating, and commercial or educational versions. We will tell you which makes sense for your usage rather than quoting the largest one.
- Getting a price
- Software pricing depends on modules, seat count, licence term and whether it is a new purchase or a renewal, so there is no single figure to publish. Send us your requirement and you will have a written quotation, on letterhead with GST, within one working day.
- What the price includes
- Supply through official channels with proper invoicing, remote installation and activation, configuration for your machines and workflow, and handover training. The licence works before we consider the job finished.
- Anywhere in India
- Licences are delivered and activated remotely, so it makes no difference whether your unit is in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore or Ludhiana. Support is remote too.
